EUHSD Is Partnering with the City to Bring a State-of-the-Art Aquatics Center to Escondido

Jon is proud to report that the school district is moving towards its long-time goal of supporting an aquatics center for student-athletes and the community of Escondido. An adequate aquatics complex with a deep-water pool for suitable for swim, water polo, and diving has long been desired in our community.

  • The board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Escondido to dedicate $2 million towards the construction of a competitive aquatics center in Grape Day Park.
  • In exchange for the financial contribution, EUHSD will receive future pool priority access and utilization.
  • The project is currently in planning stages.
